The new Memorial Auditorium covers the site of Spaulding’s Exchange and the buried junction of the Erie Canal and Commercial Slip. The Canadiana is at its dock at the foot of Commercial Street, the Greater Detroit is docked along the Central Wharf, and the South American is at the D.L. & W. Depot at the foot of Main Street.
