Ayla Abiad

Ayla Abiad

Ayla was born and raised in Damascus Syria. She holds a bachelors degree in architecture from Private University of Science and Art (PUSA) in Aleppo Syria, a five year program.

She recently came to the US to achieve higher education and is interested in sustainable and environmental architecture. During her undergraduate career, Ayla worked with an interior design office for 2 years during which she improved here computer skills. She also completed two graphic courses in University of Urbino in Italy for two months. After graduation, she worked with an architectural office for one year where work was mainly in planning the extension of Damascus City.

Ayla is interested in classic piano and she attended the Arabic institute of music for 10 years. She is also interested in languages and speaks English, French and Arabic, her native language. Ayla has been volunteering at the Urban Design Project since September 2009.
