Dattatreya Das

Dattatreya Das is currently a first year MUP student in UB who joined the Urban Design Project in December of 2007. He has a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Jadavpur University in Kolkata, India. Specializing in Urban Design, Dattatreya has deep interest in sustainable development and environmental protection. As an architect, Dattatreya has experience in designing for a wide range of subjects from the Ecological Park in the Commonwealth Games Village in New Delhi to factories and offices for the Liberty-Whiteware Company to a school for destitute children in a village in India.

He has also received numerous awards in national and state level for his designing and drawing skills. Dattatreya is competent in computer-aided drawing and drafting and advanced 3-D visualization. Apart from that, he has knowledge of Geographic Information Systems.

Dattatreya is primarily involved in the University at Buffalo’s Comprehensive Plan for 2020 and the Buffalo Olmstead Parks twenty years restoration and management plan within the Urban Design Project.
