Buffalo's Grain Elevators:

The Grain Elevator Book

As a result of the Grain Elevator Study, we present the publication Rediscovering the Concrete Atlantis: Buffalo Grain Elevators. The book is a collection of essays by some of the most important scholars in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area. It is available only in .pdf format, and is free of charge. There are six essays in the book, ranging from "Silo Dreams", which discusses the relationship of the Grain Elevators to the Modern movement in architecture, to "Where is the Fun in a Grain Elevator", which takes a more populist approach to presenting the potential for these iconoclastic structures.

The file is 28.7 MB, which will be a few minutes via high-speed connection, and about two hours by dialup connection.
