Niagara National Heritage Area Study

The National Park Service is conducting this study, with the help of the Urban Design Project, to determine whether to give National Heritage Area status to the area around Niagara Falls.

The Urban Design Project is providing mapping of the area, the natural resources, cultural resources, and power generation resources. We have built and maintain a website for the project. We are working to identify area cultural initiatives, communicating with the media about the project, and constructing a mailing list to keep the public informed about the study. We are organizing and facilitating public meetings to involve the community in the process.
