Niagara National Heritage Area Study.
By the National Park Service with support from the Urban Design Project. (2005)
The National Park Service conducted this study with the help of The Urban Design Project to determine whether to give National Heritage Area status to the area around Niagara Falls. The UDP provided maps
of the natural resources, cultural resources, and power generation resources in the area and organized as well as facilitated public
meetings to involve the community in the process. The Niagara National Heritage Area was confirmed by the US Congress in 2008.
